Terms of Sale

We love to see happy customers on sale day, but please understand that there are certain house rules which
a) help to ensure that things run smoothly for everyone and b) are applicable at all of our sales.
Thanks for your understanding.

  • Our sale hours will be prominently listed on this website,
in our notification e-mails and in the necessary local advertisements.
We don’t let customers into our sales prior to these hours.
Please don’t ask us to make an exception to this rule.
  • Each dealer (or veteran) must submit a photocopy of his or her current tax exemption permit.
We do not keep tax numbers on file,
so you’ll need to bring a photocopy for us to every sale.
    (Sorry,  no exceptions.)
  • Proper identification will be required with all checks.
  • $40.00 returned check fee
  • We cooperate with the district attorneys
in all the counties in which we work,
and will prosecute customers who write bad checks
and don’t “make them good” in short order.
  • Occasionally, we may (particularly at high end sales)
require a letter of credit on checks over $5K.
  • Each customer is to be responsible for carefully inspecting
his or her own merchandise, as all items are sold “as is, where is.”
    (No warranties made or implied.)
  • Staff does not wrap, carry or deliver.
Each customer must be responsible for his or her own purchases.
(We’ll be happy to refer reputable moving firms, as needed.)
  • Customers are expected to park legally and courteously.
We will most likely have a uniformed police officer on site at all times, and he or she will ticket violators and have them towed, as needed.
  • Lines may form, and the homes in which we conduct our sales
may vary greatly in square footage. Please be understanding if, for reasons of safety, we are only able to let customers in in increments
of twenty-five to fifty at a time — particularly during the first few hours of a sale.
  • We will not hold items without a 10% cash deposit. (Arrangements for all “holds” must be made with the cashier on sale day.) This deposit shall be non-refundable should the customer change his or her mind. Otherwise, said deposit shall be deducted from the total cost once the balance has been obtained.
  • Pushing and shoving will not be tolerated.
  • No food or drinks, please.
  • No unattended children, please.
  • No baby strollers, please.
  • Price switching will not be tolerated.
Violators will be asked to leave the sale,
and will also be banned from future sales.
  • We provide our own custom-printed “sold” signs for customers who purchase items. Outside “sold” signs will not be honored, and will be promptly discarded. Customers are obligated to purchase all items they request to be marked “sold.”
  • We usually provide a “sold” table or “sold” area on or in which customers may place their purchases while they continue to shop.
Customers are obligated to purchase all items they place or request to be placed on the “sold” table or in the “sold” area.
  • Lines at the opening of the sale and at the cash register are an unpleasant fact of life. These lines are a necessary evil, though, and should be respected as such.
  • Fine jewelry and comparable high end items in showcases
will be shown one piece at a time.
  • We collect sealed bids on items priced $100.00 and up.
Our bid cards are legally binding contracts.
As a result, the winning bidder is obligated to purchase all items
he or she has bid on and “won.”
  • Please understand if we cannot answer questions about merchandise prior to a sale. (We’re often hurrying to complete work on our upcoming sale. We may also already be working on the next sale after that. Thanks for understanding.)
  • We vet each estate carefully after the first sale day.
The hiding of items will not be tolerated, and those who hide items will, if apprehended, be asked to leave the sale, and will also be banned from future sales.
  • We DO ship; however, we do NOT sell items “sight unseen.”
Each customer must either a) be present on site to inspect his or her own purchases or b) send an authorized buyer on site.
  • Each customer must be responsible for the hauling of his or her own purchases. (We’re happy to refer our customers to reputable and reliable local movers, as needed.)
  • All furniture items and other purchases must be removed from the premises by designated dates, else they will either revert to the estate, be sold again, or be donated to charity.
  • We only accept current tax numbers; furthermore, we do not accept agricultural tax numbers. We only accept a) tax numbers issued specifically for the buying and re-selling of antiques, collectibles, used furniture and decorative arts and b) honorably discharged veterans’ tax numbers, per Oklahoma state law.
